I’ve Never Felt Anything Like This | 6 Ways I’m Navigating the Shift | Guy Lawrence

June 5, 2026 Cyrus Bacat

#425 This solo podcast episode explored how to stay grounded and aligned during times of intense personal and collective change. Guy suggested that many people are feeling increased pressure, uncertainty, and emotional turbulence, not as a sign of failure, but as an invitation to reconnect with their authentic selves. He shared six key practices that have helped him navigate these shifts: fully committing to personal growth instead of living “half in and half out,” prioritizing physical health and body awareness, learning to fill your own cup before serving others, listening to what your body is trying to communicate, surrounding yourself with supportive and like-minded people, and regularly reconnecting with nature. Throughout the episode, Guy encourages listeners to stop resisting discomfort, view challenges as opportunities for transformation, and cultivate deeper states of peace, freedom, and connection by becoming more present and intentional in their daily lives.

Guy:
If you’re watching this podcast right now, you’re probably already feeling it, and that we’re under a great pressure. I literally just got off a podcast with mathematician and physicist David Clements, and he’s seeing massive ramping up of these energies that are coming through this June and July as we speak. Now, this great pressure isn’t just a vague concept. It, it has a window, and if we’re not congruent, it’s gonna feel more like a crisis. So most people are trying to survive life by living half in and half out, half committed, half present, half themselves. But that divided way of living is exactly why so many people are exhausted, because deep down, your soul was never designed to negotiate with who you truly are.

So what if this chaos is actually a recalibration? What if everything no longer aligned with your true path is simply falling away to make room for the real you? Today, I want to share six powerful steps that have helped me take the handbrake off my own life, so you can finally go all in on the life you were actually meant to live. Because the moment you stop abandoning yourself is the moment you finally come home. Let’s do this.

Guy:
All right, so l- let’s roll into the first step. I like steps, little frameworks here and there. I can just talk to them. I got my notes here as well. So the first thing that I realized what I was doing on my own journey was this half in, half out indecision and this drifting. If you listen to my recent podcast on willingness, then, uh
which I recommend, there’s a lot in that. But ultimately, the first thing you gotta do is declare you’re all in Like, I am all in. Not 99%, 98, because then we are creating a resistance to… Now, being all in doesn’t mean pushing harder. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. But you have to make a conscious decision within yourself that everything you do on a daily basis is gonna action your support of your growth on this journey.

So you can either resist it or you can declare you’re all in, and through all in, you’re breaking that stagnant energy, you’re breaking that sense of waiting, the universe can’t meet you while you’re negotiating your own truth. That’s what it ultimately is at the end of the day, and it normally comes down with fear. I remember having a lady come to a retreat a couple of years ago. Her name, um, I’m sure she won’t mind me sharing, was Diane. Uh, she was blind. Uh, sh- she had a lot of disabilities through her body, and I think she’d been blind from the age of 10 or 11 years old.

I can’t remember. Her body had undergone huge amounts of surgery, huge amounts of trauma, and through these five days, to witness her was so beautiful and so humbling, and it still sits with me to this day. Now, to the point when I want you to imagine, her feet were so swollen, they were, like, almost the size of my thighs, okay? And she was clearly in a lot of pain, but she really wanted to connect to the soul aspect of herself and really start to lean into these concepts that we talk to and do all the time. Now, through the whole retreat, she was attentive, she was present, and she never complained. Like, she was all in. With- There was even a process that we did, and in all honesty, she, she could have been the, the first one due to her disabilities and everything, to actually not do it and step out of it because of the, of the pain as well that her body was, was going through.

But she stepped up and did this process, um, absolutely incredibly. And through that, what was witnessed Everyone was in tears. then that give permission to everyone else to be all in as well because it was like… when I see things like that, I remind myself, like, when am I in my mind or am I actually committed to this? Am I all in through whatever evolution l- process that we are going on right now that is happening? And through th- that then, there is obviously an acceleration to it, but- apply the things that we teach and we do can be, uh, very powerful. Now, interestingly, I got a quote here from the Michael Beckwith podcast that I did a couple of years back, and he speaks about when an old paradigm is dying, it’s very loud, and it’s very dangerous.

So as everything is ramping up through these energies and through our own internal systems, that is when we are required to step up more. So we can either run from it, or we can declare we’re all in. So that’s the first basis of it, okay? So let’s go into step two. Uh, the body is the gateway, biological support. How you are actually nurturing and looking after your body is pivotal. I mean, I’ve gone on about this for, for a while. How you do one thing is how you do everything, ’cause if you have a declaration that I’m all in, then you’re gonna start to look at the aspects of your life. Now, I look at the body as the vehicle that is allowing me to experience life.

It is the very thing that is… I travel through, through the 3D plane with, right? Th- this is this… But I’m not my body. My body is my vehicle. I, I often joke at the, uh, uh, when, when we do our events and stuff, I, I see myself like a wild stallion, right? But, and, uh, uh, the point being is that my consciousness is the rider, and my body is the horse, and how I train it and how I become one with it and nurture it and this, create this relationship allows me then to, to move forward through life. So what I eat, how I move, how I sleep, uh, what I, uh, what I do on a daily basis is critical. Now, I had, um, Veda Austin on the podcast, I don’t know if it’ll be live when I’m publishing this, but it’ll be very soon, who’s, uh, uh, done an incredible body of work around water, and the one thing that blew my mind, what she said on there, uh, is “99% of water is light.

Water and consciousness are intimately intertwined.” So as these frequencies are ramping up, and if we are experiencing more light, then doesn’t it make sense that if we are 60 to 70% of water, that we should be very conscious of even what we drink, what we put in our body, but then also the remineralization of the body? ‘Cause ultimately, our body is minerals, photons, and atoms, and, and water, which is, which is light. So- The body is the most advanced h- uh, advanced technology on Earth. It needs minerals, hydration, and sunlight to hold higher frequencies. So that’s the point I’m, I’m wanting to make here. So as I’m going through this, I double down on how I’m looking after this wild stallion, uh, how I’m looking after this, this body, and I feel it’s critical, absolutely critical.

You know, and I might go deeper into that in different podcast. By the way, this is not advice, by the way. This is what I’m doing to support these transformations as it, uh, it continues to occur. Okay, so let’s look at step three. Uh, I’ve got fill your own cup first, okay? That means all this martyr, people-pleasing, we, we have to learn how to say no, okay? I have a, a, a quote that I read from Tim Ferriss many, many years ago when I read his four-hour work week, and that was, ” If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no.” And I’m very conscious now of applying that, and if it doesn’t excite me, if it doesn’t light me up, I don’t even put myself in that energy. I, I refuse to do it.

Why would, why would I? And as we gain our own inner power back, and that’s what’s being called forward of us, I believe, in these times, is to start to bec- understand that we are connecting more and more to our own truth, then everything that’s not within that truth is falling away. But if we are not filling our own cup first, how can we then expect to be the best version of ourselves to give to everyone else? So we have to create space and time to, to do this. And that could be pausing, taking 10 minutes a day, actually just stepping away from social media, stepping away from screens, stepping away from the noise, and just starting to intimately be present with yourself as you start to allow to feel into what is, what is underneath that.

And I make sure this is in my day yes, I admit, I have created a life for myself that, uh, I can do these things, but even if, even if I had a nine-to-five job or whatever I might be doing in my life, I would still be bringing this into my awareness and starting to look at how I could do even micro moments of filling up my cup and actually s- learning how to say no and starting to step away from the things that aren’t my truth anymore and start to take my power back, okay? So that’s a big one as well. Now, that leans into then the fourth thing is your body is speaking to you. As these shifts continue to occur, it’s very easy to fall into the, the mind that then creates an external validation for what the body is trying to communicate with you. Okay?

And we see this all the time at our events A lot. Bless you. Because, because why– if, if your body’s been holding onto something for so long, so tight, that you’ve gone through life and you’re not even aware it’s there, like my hand is closed right now, eventually you would forget that you even had this, okay? And then one day, as you start to create a presence and the energies that are continue to shift, that– if that opening that hand, it could become very painful. And then eventually it would– you’d be able to move it, and the fingers would be going again, and be like, “Oh my God, this is, this is fantastic. I’ve got this. I’ve got part of myself back.” Right? My true self. Now, that, that process can be challenging. It really can. But we tend to control and want to make meaning of something to then, uh, feel safe within ourselves.

Now, the key is, with that, is to actually be present more and more with your body. Build a relationship with it. Start to explore and go into the areas of the stiffness, the stuckness and the pain. And, uh, I love the quote David Clements actually used this morning on the podcast when I recorded with him was, um, ” Be the peaceful observer.” How cool is that, huh? Bring into this, this presence while the storm is happening. ‘Cause remember, if you’re not your body, if you’re the rider and you’re not your body, then ultimately, what’s your body wanting to communicate? What’s your wild stallion trying to, trying to share with you as your rider?

And the more you can start to conceptualize this and explore that, maybe your body’s been wanting to share something with you all along. Maybe there’s something that’s ready to be released. And maybe we don’t need to make it mean anything except that that energy is moving because of the rising tide of the frequencies that are continually shifting on the planet, that are forcing us to look at ourselves. So in other words, lean in. Don’t run away. Don’t numb it. Don’t distract it. Don’t gossip about it. Don’t… Whatever it is, start to become aware. Awareness is fundamental to all of this work, and that’s where the, the true spiritual practice lies, is what you do with your eyes open through the day, right? So instead of fixing anything, sit with it, lean into it, and even ask it what it needs, and see if anything percolates beyond the mind. Okay. Another thing, uh, another step that I ensure I have is the right people around me. Find your people. Find your tribe. Um, what that does create is a sense of safety.

There’s a sense of, um, resonance with that. I have always through my journey is seeked out people that I want to aspire to, that I want to, to ensure that encourage me, lift me up, understand me, not feel judged in any way, and allow me to flourish. The environments we place ourselves in are critical, and especially when it comes to people. Like I’ve mentioned before, I have two young children. I ensure that I’m putting them in environments where they thrive, and I will just watch they develop it naturally. Well, why aren’t we doing that for ourselves as adults? Why aren’t we going out there and seeking people that get us? And ultimately, what will happen, uh, then this stems all the way back from the first one, ’cause I even remember running a workshop, um, it was a couple of years ago.

Anyway, and the lady asked a question, spoke up, and she spoke about she could never find her tribe and with her people. And what it boiled down to, she was in a room of her people, but she was living a isolated, blinkered perception of herself and reality. So there was a part of her that was holding back. The fact that all she had to do, and we encouraged it, was start speaking to people around you and being proactive and making the initiation of, um, finding your tribe. If you’re just in this waiting energy all the time, nothing changes. You- again, it comes back to that declaration. So sometimes the answers are just sitting right with us, right in our, in our f- um, in our face.

So interestingly enough as well, just one last thing, ’cause I’ve got my quotes here. I’m kind of just speaking off the cuff and I remember, oh shit, I was supposed to mention this bit or that bit in here, was that I had a podcast with Dr., uh, Rollin McCraty from HeartMath Institute. So he’s a great guy, HeartMath Institute. Enough said on that. I’m sure you, you’re very aware of them. But he said our hearts actually have a measurable magnetic field that extends several feet from the body. So when I’m saying find your people, I’m not talking about just social connections, okay? I’m talking about finding a coherent field, so where your nervous system can finally drop its guard and, and that’s when the healing process comes, right?

Coherent people influence your energetics to be more coherent, right? So it’s so true. Like, if you think of everything is, is energy ultimately at the end of the day Wouldn’t you wanna be around people that are humming coherence, that they’re aligned, that from their heart and their soul is all aligned, every cell in their body is in alignment, and it’s creating a beautiful resonance that’s been generated from the inside out? That’s true power. That’s true sovereignty. That’s true self. And when you’re in that environment, we see it at the re- I keep harping back to the retreats, but it, it’s a reference point that we see all the time that so many people in the world don’t get to experience, and you think, “Come on.” Because once you start to create that resonance and that coherence, and a collective emergence consciousness field comes from that, that holds this particular vibration.

And when you’re in that field, what it’s doing is then entraining your nervous system. Your every cell, every strand of your DNA is slowly learning to hold a deeper and deeper resonance within yourself, and, and you’re continuing to clear what’s in the way. And what that’s doing is teaching your body, but also then you’re feeling safe enough to let go because you’re around other people that understand you, that understand it, and get what’s happening, are very supportive and not dismissive of the, the things that are coming up. Okay? And the last one I wanna mention here as well, which is, I, I ensure I do on a regular basis, is nature. Get in nature. Get in nature often. Uh, people, uh, joke at me because I wear these, um, Jesus sandal looking things that actually ground you as well, ’cause I, I got wide feet, so I don’t like, uh, wearing shoes, uh, too much.

And so I’m constantly ensuring that I’m connected to the earth, to the ground, to the ocean, to the sea, and placing myself in that. And one thing I love to do sometimes, uh, it can be a challenge with chil- with the kids, but we, we’ll, we’ll often g- um, get them in nature as well and make sure they’re barefoot on the ground. They’re just running around and feeling connected as well, but is to heart breathe while I’m in nature. And if you’re struggling, if you live in a concrete jungle and you’re struggling to, to do that, what I would invite you to do is imagine you’re standing in nature, and imagine, get your feet barefoot, but even get, stand outside if you’ve got a balcony or something or whatever it might be, and just, and really connect to Mother Earth, connect to the universe, connect to creation itself, and allow that resonance to naturally soothe our resonance.

And what that always does, it always gets me out of my head, it gets me back into myself, my body much more, and become more present. Our nervous systems get so scrambled from the pace of life, from the pace of information, we lose ourselves. And, and that becomes our reality, and we’re then in the mental mind. We never g- we’re never here, now. Here, now. Okay? And y- and ultimately, at the end of the day, what is it that we’re after? For me, personally, I wrote down, I know I wanna feel free, I wanna feel connection, and I wanna feel peace. They are the states of being, and to be honest, you, yes, there’s turbulence that’s, that’s coming out. I’ve had different convulsions have been going through my body, and even th- a couple of days of real dark, heavy shit that’s moved.

But I understand the process. I know how to hold space for myself, and I allow it to be. And then through that liberation, I feel deeper states of connection, deeper states of peace, and deeper states of freedom. And ultimately, that’s what I feel that’s part of us is all craving, right? And that’s what we’re– we want to… So just to recap, where we got– what did I, what did I talk about here? We’re all in. Declare you’re all in Your body, love it. The body is the gateway into this stuff. All in, start looking after your body. And then we got fill your own cup up first. If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no. Lean into the pain. Stop running away from it.

Stop numbing it. Try and create a sense of space and presence, and lean in. Ask it what it needs. Okay? Find your tribe. Find your people. Find people in resonance and coherence. That, like… It shifts you. It shifts you. Seek them out and be there, okay? That’s why we do what we do. nature is the stabilizer. Get into nature. It’s all there for you guys. Let me know if you apply these, if you do them all, if there’s any areas, uh, that you need to work on as well. Um, yeah, it’s all there. And for you, I mean, you could be living anywhere in the world. Just to give you a heads-up, we, uh, I mentioned on my last podcast that we’re changing a few things.

Um, we’re slowly doing less one-day events, just due to the, um, the challenges, uh, that can come with that around willingness. And we opened up a, uh, a weekend event, and we thought, “You know what? Let’s just take 12 people.” And it sold out in two days here in Australia. So, uh, uh, we haven’t run it yet, but that’s exciting. And if something like that excites you, and you’ve been doing our work, and you’re, you’re there, we’ll be running another one at the end of August. But we’ve also got, uh, two five-day retreats coming up. Um, well, actually, three. Bali sold out and, uh, we got one here in Northern New South Wales in Australia, five there.

Uh, that’s in August as well, and one in October coming up, and that’ll be it for this year as well. So, yeah, if stars align and you wanna come and join us with that, um, come join us. And we’ve got offerings online as well, where we, we hold space for people if you, uh, can’t connect with us in person. Anyway, hope you got a lot out of that. Much love from me, and I will see you soon.

I’m actually here right now at a retreat space in Taupo, New Zealand, and it’s beautiful. And it really brings home the difference between understanding this work and actually living it, because that’s what retreats can do and why we’re so passionate about it. They give you the space to slow down, to reconnect, and truly let something deeper land. So it’s not just an idea, but it’s a lived experience. That’s why we created Live in Flow. So if you’ve been feeling this shift in your own life and you know you’re ready to go deeper, then come back to liveinflow.co to find out more.
