#450 In this podcast episode, Guy talked with Dr. Sue Morter about the divine, awakening, and the idea that human beings were not separate selves trying to reach spirit, but divine presence learning to come fully into body form. Dr. Sue shared how early experiences of beauty and meditation had led her into a profound realization of herself as light, which changed how she understood healing, purpose, and the truth of who people really were. She explained that embodiment, rather than simply enlightenment, had been the key to translating higher-frequency experiences into everyday life and accessing a more grounded, creative, and self-healing way of being.
The conversation also explored how people often gave their power away to the outer world, lived in their heads, and developed symptoms because they were disconnected from the core of the body and their true self. By the end, Dr. Sue described this time in history as a powerful opportunity to make a “quantum flip,” choose unity over duality, and live from the perspective of a divine quantum energy being with purpose, coherence, and trust.

Dr. Sue:
We become that which we are trying to connect with. So we sort of change seats. Instead of a human being trying to reach up and find some divine connection, we recognize I am that divine presence coming into body form. I am that coming into the physical dimension. Embodiment is the key, not enlightenment.
Guy:
Awesome guy here. I’m really excited that you’re joining me and Dr. Sue Morter today for this conversation on the podcast. But just a quick announcement before we dive in is that if you’ve been following my work and my journey for a while, you know that this healing work has been, uh, developing and deepening within me for, for many years now. And I’ve reached a point where I feel it’s time to make myself more available and bring this work out, uh, more into the world. So, with that in mind, I’m now opening up intimate online group energy healing sessions and one-on-ones as well. So if you’d like to experience the work with me, uh, then check out the link below. Anyway, let’s get on to today’s conversation with Dr. Sue Morter. It’s awesome.
Guy:
Sue, welcome back to the podcast. It’s so nice to have you back on
Dr. Sue:
Oh, thank you so much. It’s wonderful to be here, and I, uh, always love where we get to go in our conversations, so I look forward to today
Guy:
And I’m gonna dive straight into, uh, something that popped up me this morning, which is the word divine. And I’d love to hear your thoughts, interpretation on it, ’cause it, it’s a word that we tend to hear a lot in our but can feel very abstract for people as well. And because I noticed it was on the f- front and center of your book as well, and I was like, “That’s interesting.” So yeah, maybe we could start there.
Dr. Sue:
In a world where quantum science is prevalent in our scientific discovery and our conversation, we’re expanding beyond what we used to think of a human being being a five sensory stimulus response, you know, creature on this planet. And we’re recognizing through ancient truths, of course, but also with modern science that, that we exist as the presence of energy, that we are energy that is conscious, that the whole of our reality is truly based in consciousness. And, you know, it’s a mind-boggling thing that what that’s basically saying is that we are all generating a collective agreed upon experience, and we’re walking into this movie that we’re collectively creating. And so when we begin thinking in those terms, it can get like sci-fi pretty quickly. And what I love about the word divine is that it allows us to include higher realms of consciousness, higher states of reality, but keeping them in an aligned fashion that means something sacred, that means something deeply meaningful and beyond safety, but, but truly perpetuating the, the most exalted versions of life’s possibilities.
And so So when we are, uh, activating our own divine design or stepping into our own divine presence, what it means to me is that we’re stepping into a version of ourselves beyond what we were raised thinking about ourselves as being, and yet it maintains a sense of home and a sense of ultimate, um, collectiveness or gatheredness that is– has been reserved for, you know, the angelic realms and reserved for, um, something beyond this lifetime. And, you know, I wrote about it in, in my book, The Anatomy of Awakening, where we’re referencing our true divine destiny, meaning, um, there is a purpose and a plan and a structure to our life experience, and it, its origins are, um, quite sacred and exalted and in the highest good for all. And so when we start to think of ourselves that way, it, it gives us a sense of, of support and a sense of, um, freedom that, that isn’t untethered, but that is, uh, that is not confined to our belief structures and our history, our story.
It– We’re not confined to our past experience. We’re not to even be defined by those things. Uh, we are truly by definition from multiple, uh, layers of existence, multiple realms, and, and our foundation would be in what we would reference as the divine.
Guy:
Yeah, no, beautiful. Uh, th- when you even mentioned a sense of, of home, that, that really resonated as well because during my journey, I’ve had experiences where if… that it feels like it’s a coming home, and it, uh, I can’t even put into words. There’s these moments that feel so familiar but unfamiliar, and then be able to embody that in a way to have you the courage to live life more from the heart than the mind and operate from that space. And I’m curious, with yourself, was there a moment where you grew up with, with this presence of knowing that this, everything is far greater? Like, was that always innate in you, or was there moments along the way where you truly started to embody that divine? Because once that happens, everything shifts, I
Dr. Sue:
Yes, everything definitely shifts. So, you know, I think that I was in touch with it of, as a child, but I didn’t know I didn’t know that as a, a defined, um, version of oneself. I was always attracted to the beauty of life. I always wanted to and appreciated things like the sunlight dancing on the water in a nearby stream that was by my, my house, and I It was on our property, and I could walk back into the pasture and spend time there in this, in this space where when the sun was just right and angled coming in and reflecting off of the water, there was just a presence that I could feel, and I loved it. I was so attracted to it that I would go there every chance I got.
And I think that most people have some sort of experience along those lines, whether they’re calling it beautiful or sacred in some way, uh, uh, or not, or they’re just … They just find themselves wanting to go and to be in that space. I, I know that my father used to love to go fishing and, and he would sit in the boat, and he didn’t care if he was catching anything or not. He just loved sitting in the boat with the fishing pole in the water and, you know, nothing to do, nothing there. And, you know, I wasn’t a meditator at four and six years old, and my father wasn’t a meditator really ever, but I know that, that, that resonance, that coherence that was being tapped into was nurturing something on a very deep and rich level.
I now know that nurturing to be the, the presence of this divine light, of this divine nature is activating and stimulating that, that divinity within each of us, and we’re drawn to the spaces and the places or the moments that allow for that to just surface enough that we can experience it, whether we’re aware of what to call it or not. And I think that’s important for people to realize because everyone is a divine being on this planet, and everyone has a divine purpose for being here, and everyone has a divine destiny, a divine, a destined path that is unfolding in their awareness constantly to allow them to experience themselves as their most whole, most fulfilled, uh, and most comprehensive self.
And it’s based in beauty. It’s based in the life force of creation itself. And, you know, so whether someone recognizes themselves or would even reference themselves as a divine being or not, um, it is true. Many of us were taught that it is not true, and that that divine space is somewhere beyond this place. But really, that divine space is here. It’s just that when we’re identified as a protective personality or a, uh, a performing personality in some way, we don’t have access to feeling the frequencies of, of that most true state Which is what I’m referencing as divine. So yes, there was a time in my life where, uh, I moved from just experiencing the beauty of life whenever I could, as everyone else does, to realizing that, uh, that I needed to learn to meditate.
I wanted to learn. I was drawn to learn to meditate. And I was having headaches at the time and, and it was part of the impetus in why I was curious about meditation. But there was something deeper inside of me that really wanted to explore meditation. I had no idea what it meant. But the moment that I began meditating, I started having transcendental experiences. And so I instantly was catapulted into, uh, other realms where I was a timeless version of myself, pure light, a ray of light that was extending from the heavens truly all the way into this physical dimension. And I, I was a ray of light that was embedded into the earth, and I was me, but I wasn’t in a physical body, and I could see three hundred and sixty degrees, a- actually spherically, in a light so brilliantly bright it was ten times brighter than the brightest day I had ever seen, and I could see above and below and in front and behind and to the side all at the same time.
It wasn’t, it wasn’t limited in a linear way at all. And I knew that, that this brilliant light that I was in was truth. I instantly knew that this was the truth of who I am. It was a remembering, like, “Oh, oh.” I had, had no idea. And I knew that where I was embedded into the Earth was the life that I was experiencing on Earth. It was there, but I- it was not me. It was just something that I was doing ’cause the truth of me was in this exalted state. And as such, I also knew that this was true about all of us. And there was nothing broken. There was nothing missing. There was nothing wrong. There was nothing to achieve. There was nothing to fix.
There was simply the beautiful understanding, uh, and the truth that we are infinite, the infinite presence of life itself, that we are all of that And, uh, it, it was a, a pure and innocent meditative moment that, that lit up so brilliant and so clear and so tangible that it was more real than this world I’ve been walking around in ever since. And I knew that this was each of our, um, truth, our foundation, where we come from, what it is that we’re, that we’re doing here, is bringing this light through our own breath into this life experience. And the more we can allow for that, if not remember it, um, the more we allow for our own true divine destiny to unfold without distorting the light that’s pouring through and without making less of the life experience than it could be.
And as a byproduct of that, my migraines went away. I healed the scoliosis in my body. I began healing things that were injuries or broken bones, et cetera, in non-traditional methods. My body just took on this, this way of being that was, you know, entirely different. My mind changed. I, I don’t perceive life the way I used to. Uh, I perceive it as in my favor instead of something I’m trying to survive. And, you know, so very many things have,
Guy:
Wow
Dr. Sue:
in, in the last, you know, 26 years. That happened about 26 years ago.
Guy:
Well, thank you for sharing. And clearly it’s had an impact, ’cause look at the impact you have on the world now. I mean, you know. Um, but what coming to me as you were saying that was like, what– was that terrifying at the time? Was it exciting? Like, when you have a moment like that and, you know, and then integrating back into life, what did you do with that?
Dr. Sue:
Hmm. Well, it was exalting and absolutely coming home in the most blissful and beautiful, uh, experience one could ever imagine. It was far greater than anything I had ever imagined or dreamt of even. Didn’t even know it was something that one could experience, and so it was completely there, you know, r- new in that way. But there wasn’t any m- moment of, of discomfort or f- or fear associated with it. Now, when I came down out of that and I was– found myself in the room, I was m- I was learning to meditate. I was in a room with 300 people that were meditating, and I looked around and I, I knew that what I had just experienced was going to change everything, but I had no idea how or what to, you know, was next Um, I do know that the m- weeks and months that followed were very challenging, but I was carried by this knowing that everything that began unfolding was exactly what was supposed to unfold because of this experience.
And it was accompanied by I couldn’t, um, go outside into the world, uh, to, you know, regular, normal daily activities. I couldn’t go to the mall. I couldn’t hear the radio. The television on was just overwhelming to m- now my super sensory senses. Uh, my, my desire to p- be in some of the groups of people that I had hung out with for years, uh, was just falling away rapidly. My desire to do the kinds of, you know, life activities that I would find myself in on a daily basis, like overthinking or trying to predict or to plan or to strategize, those kinds of things were just inaccessible to me. And so my patients in my clinic had to wait for a few weeks for me to even be able to come back into the clinic and, uh, continue on as, you know, as their doctor because it was too much to my sensory nervous system because I wasn’t in the body to the degree that I now know is necessary for us to be able to translate these high-frequency realities that we are also comprised of.
Uh, and so because I wasn’t in my body, I was just kind of living in my head and in the energy field around the body where ironically most people are living. Um, but because of that, it was very harsh and difficult for me to, to, uh, really translate and transmute these energies of such a high-frequency state into usable, you know, frequencies. Now, once I figured out that that was what the deal was, the circumstances changed dramatically. Once I figured out how to get in my body and how much better I felt when I did, I began to realize and recognize that not only was that the only way I was able to reproduce the experience again for myself But that it was the only way that that experience was tolerable.
And not only was it tolerable, it began to change my entire reality in terms of, uh, the amount of energy that it takes for me to do things. I have an endless supply of energy. I’m constantly teaching and traveling and doing, and it’s not that I’m running on adrenaline and pushing the river at all. As soon as I’m finished teaching a three-day program or a seven-day program, I could turn around and begin again because it’s a constant stream that’s pouring through, and I’m stewarding that. I’m not a separate self trying to tap into it. I am that which most people are trying to tap into. And actually, so are they at their true, true state, but people don’t know that distinction, so they’re constantly operating as a separate self trying to connect to source and to, and to tap into spirit or to allow guidance, which is all valuable and a necessary first step, but it’s only the first step.
There are so many things we can do after surrender and after reaching out and after receiving and after allowing and after connecting. We actually then are only in the position to begin to do the real, um, immersion, immersion into true self, where we actually become that which we’ve been trying to receive. We become that which we are trying to connect with. So we sort of change seats. Instead of a human being trying to reach up and find some divine connection, we recognize I am that divine presence coming into body form. I am that coming into f- the physical dimension. Embodiment is the key, not enlightenment.
We’re made of the light, and embodiment is the project. That’s what we’re doing here. And so people have it backwards, and so they have a really hard time accomplishing their true divine destiny because they’re looking at it, um, as if they’re looking in a mirror instead of feeling the person who’s looking into the mirror. So, like, the next time you– anyone who’s listening right now, the next time you’re looking in a mirror, look in the mirror and you see yourself, but then be the person, be aware of being the person that’s looking into the mirror. It’s like this flip of identity happens. You feel the shift instantly. And so it’s sort of along those lines that there are a series of things that people can do to start to, you know, uh, identify as the true self instead of trying to discover the true self. You know, it’s a, it’s an interesting thing.
Guy:
Yeah, no, I, I l- love, I’m loving it, and I’m trying to keep up with, with everything you were saying there. So to recap as well then, we’re spending a large amount of time with our energy actually outside of ourselves and in our heads, and we’re not bringing that i- bringing that in. um, you mentioned the word feeling many times as well, and of course, in your book it’s called The Anatomy of Awakening. So I’m assuming then the anatomy is, is where we’re going to allow these frequencies to come into the body. Th- so we’re going inward and not going outside of ourselves, the feeling component is, is al- also coming into that
Dr. Sue:
Yes, you bet. So it’s not only the physical anatomy, the visible anatomy that we’re used to referencing when we say anatomy, like I look at my hands, my arms, my body, there’s my anatomy. But there’s also, and this is really what the book is about, an invisible anatomy, a structure that actually is what is holding the space for this visible anatomy to be self-healing, self-healing and self-regulating and self-illuminating. There’s a, a structure like a, an invisible temple within which this physical body lives and resides, and science is proving it. In many different facets of science, we’ve studied it. We’ve studied the bioenergetic flow, the way energy traverses through the body. We study the auric field. We study quantum science and how consciousness plays a role in generating photon density, where it’s pulling, uh, the, these tiny particles together that even generate the physical mass that of, of our visible anatomy.
And on its way there, it’s generating an invisible structure. And so in, in the book, I write about, uh, not only does, you know, how does our anatomical, uh, structure and our systems fit into that, and how is the function of the brain, the physiology, and the movement of energies and nerve impulses and chemistries, how is it all playing out in a manner that allows for us to be healing and creative versus being stuck in survival and non-healing? And, and all the while setting that up so that people can have an appreciation for the invisible anatomy, which is based in these cosmic principles that actually determine how energy begins to formulate into physical matter and, and looking at the whole thing from a, a s- truly a spiritual perspective.
Um, so it blends science and spirituality in a very user-friendly language so that we can start to benefit from the things that science is discovering, and we can benefit from the ancient truths from, you know, uh, ancient spiritual texts, the, the Vedas and the Upanishads and the Sutra, the Yoga Sutras and, uh, and, and of course, all the, the sacred texts that are more well-known like, uh, the, the Bible and the Vedas as well and the Torah and so on. So, so we’re, we’re steeped in the knowing And I wanted this book to draw it all together and allow it all to be accessible in one place where someone could begin to see how everyone’s actually pointing to the same thing. They might be calling it something different, but there’s a common ground here that if we knew the truth of who we are, we would not get so caught up in these, you know, struggles and strains and, uh, the comparisons and the, and the competitiveness and the, the survival dispositions that, that our humanity is, is locked into.
Uh, we would instead be aware of the direct connection to source, that there’s a through line from the unified field or the heavens or, you know, the infinite field of possibility all the way here to this physical body that is sitting here. There’s no evidence of separation ever. And there is so much evidence of that direct connection, whether someone is studying the, the tiny layers of, of the cell and how it works, or studying on a macrocosmic level about the fact that the particles in outer space are interacting with the particles inside our own systems. Constant communication, constant connection. And so I wanted that to just drop in and become part of a conversation that people could really digest and benefit from so that we can feel the belongingness that is true. We can feel our own divinity that is true. We can feel our own true destiny, which is laid out for us. There is nothing to fear. And to recognize the numerous ways that we, that we disperse or dupe that truth and never get to live in accordance with it, uh, in an attempt to show people a way to turn that around.
Guy:
Yeah, beautiful. What do you, I mean, you’ve obviously w- worked with so many people. Um, and I d- don’t even know how many, like, you know. And, uh, I’m sure you see, you must see common denominators o- of, of human behavior that comes through. And w- what do you feel the kind of the pitfalls that we fall into when we’re wanting to develop the, the energetic anatomy, the physical anatomy, to be able to allow these, this embodiment of energy more and more? W- what, what tends to get in the way for us? Or- I’m standing here right now in Lake Taupo, in a beautiful retreat space and there’s a vast difference between an intellectual experience and passive listening to a fully embodied lived experience ’cause that’s what retreats can do. They can help you land start to truly reconnect to yourself, to others, to nature and to spirit as well.
There’s so much in it. That’s why we created Live In Flow and that’s why we are so passionate about getting this work out there and bringing people together. If you wanna find out more when our next retreat or event is coming up just check out the link below. And now back to the podcast
Dr. Sue:
Most people are externally oriented Their attention and therefore their sensory nervous system is directed into the outer world. We give our power away to the outer world. We look to the outer world for a sign. We look to the outer world for acceptance, for love. We look to the outer world for solutions and answers to tell, to tell us what to do, etc. And if we were to change– there’s an ancient Sanskrit term, um, called pratyahara, which is, it means to withdraw your senses, come back onto the self instead of being out there on object after object after object after object, to just come home. Let’s start again. Let’s land inside and begin again from the beginning of you, which is so deeply rooted in your core.
It’s– I, I describe it like we sort of land here, and we splat, and we disperse. And in that splat, you know, we’re out here on the perimeter trying to figure out how to put the pieces together to make life work, and we don’t really put our attention on the thing that would help the most, which is to use our energy to gather ourselves back into, literally into our physical anatomy, into our structure. And if we were to do that, what would happen is our mind and our body and our breath would start working together instead of our mind trying to solve everything on its own, which you’re describing as people living in their heads instead of in their body. And as we do gather and gather and gather, and there are lots of exercises and practices that people can do to enhance and encourage that gathering, then what begins to happen is there’s a different energy rippling through our system because it’s more comprehensive.
All of the ingredients of the recipe are showing up instead of just a few. And so there’s a felt sense of, of well-being, a felt sense of okayness and certainty and clarity and belongingness that just isn’t accessible when we’re splatted and dispersed. And so we’re gathering and gathering and gathering these qualities of our own consciousness, all aspects of our being back together again. And in that gathering, we automatically start healing. We start digesting properly. We start feeling and sensing, uh, in terms of being a creator instead of a survivor. And as a byproduct, we end up in the most beautiful of states where we’re bringing our medicine to the world instead of seeking all the time and searching and searching.
You know, the, the problem with searching is that it’s not the vibrational radio station of finding. It’s the vibrational radio station of searching. And most people are locked there, that, that, that, that what they’re seeking is right under their nose. It’s right here. But they’re so busy externalizing their attention, uh, that they can’t see it, uh, because they’re looking past it. You know, it’s right here. It’s right underneath The skin.
Guy:
No, absolutely. Um, you speak of symptoms and even mentioned it on your own journey as well about symptoms clearing up. And The fact that we, we continually look in externally, and I’m talking about physical symptoms. We seem to be in a world that is so fast-paced that we, we even– and in that disconnection and spending most of our times in our heads, we’re not even aware until the alarm bells are absolutely screaming at us that there’s something going on within ourselves, that symptom’s wanting to get our, get our attention. What have you found on your own journey and as well with working with many others of how the relationship between symptoms, this divine energy, this remembrance of who we are, because it’s a very different model in trying to fix something or take it out or get rid of it, opposed to em-embracing these qualities of who we are more and more.
But there’s a huge amount of trust that’s it, that’s needed to surrender into doing these things as well at the same time. I’d just love to hear your, your thoughts and from what you’ve learned and experienced over time.
Dr. Sue:
Absolutely. So, you know, when, when someone begins to practice this gathering and this coming home that I’m speaking of, it’s, it’s not just conceptual, it’s very physical. There are things that we can do to gather energy into the core of our being, and when we do, we have the wherewithal to have that trust to surrender these old habits and these ways of being that we think are necessary to be safe or to find our answers, et cetera. And so there is a method to it, a systematic approach that allows us to first gather enough energy in the core of our being that we start to have a sense of self in there that our sensory nervous system couldn’t even tap into or relate to before because we were so dispersed, there was nothing in there to feel, literally physically feel.
And when we learn how to anchor ourselves in this deep core channel, uh, the sushumna in the core of the body, what begins to happen is our sensory nervous system, which is more important than our m- than our motor system, our sensory nervous system is 10 to 100 to 1,000 to 10,000 times, uh, more predominant than our motor system, uh, ever is. So it’s more important that we can sense and feel more before we ever take action. But we’re always– We’re living in a society that is obsessed with, “What do I do? What do I say? Just tell me what to do and tell me what to say, and I’ll go do that.” And, and so we just start just looking at it ba- backwards and inside out, upside down.
And so, so the invitation is, let’s do things in the right order. Let’s get in the core of the body so that we can feel a sense of self. And what comes with that is a deep core wisdom, an ancient wisdom. And what comes with that is a, an, an identity of being a, a quantum energy being, a conscious cosmic intelligence, instead of just this human being that is a byproduct of your history, your story, an abused child or an abandoned child or left behind, or the stories that we have which create the beliefs that we, you know, that we go by, which create the limited life that we’re living. All of that is one way to do it. It’s the way everyone’s doing– Not everyone, but most people that, uh, have symptoms are living that way, and that’s why the symptoms are surfacing, because we’re not using the equipment of this physic- physicality the way that it was designed to be used. We’re not even in– We’re not even engaging it the way that it was meant to be utilized.
And so In that, we have, um, a, a limited view of self, a limited sense of self. So when we learn how to gather and come and anchor into the body, and these little photons start following our focus, and it starts to build this sense of self, then we have the wherewithal to, to actually be a healer within. The healer within is that gathered self. The moment that self is gathered, healing begins. And when healing begins, symptoms disappear, and I never even focused on trying to heal a symptom. I focused on gathering myself together again, living my true nature, my true self, identifying as the truth of who I truly am once I learn about it. And as I do learn about it, I engage that and embody that, and symptoms will automatically dissipate and disappear because we’re no longer living in a way that made those symptoms necessary in the first place.
So if I’m living in a state of fight or flight, I’m overusing my adrenal glands, for instance. And if I overuse my adrenal glands long enough, I’m gonna create adrenal insufficiency. And when the adrenal insufficiency happens, my immune system is now affected. In order for the body to survive, it automatically will volunteer the thyroid to try to make up for what the adrenals aren’t doing. And so the thyroid kicks in to provide some of that energy, but in the long run, it’s not built to do that either, so it exhausts also. And when that starts to happen, we start rollercoastering the whole hormonal system. And when that’s underway, we are, we are developing symptoms of one sort or another, a digestive problem, a sleep disorder, an anxiety that we never could put our finger on before.
All of that is a byproduct of everything that I just described. And so if we will do life the way life was meant to be being lived that whole thing disappears because what happens instead is what the world is doing where we have these imbalances that have been generated we go to the doctor to get some medication to compensate for the chemical imbalance that we just happen to have and or we are injuring ourselves regularly and those things aren’t healing and so we’re going to the orthopedist or the physical therapist or what have you to try to make right these symptoms that we’re experiencing and all the while one system or another has just been being overused or misused and it’s creating these imbalances that are generating the symptoms that we have it’s all a chain reaction so there is no mystery to it what we have to do is connect the dots and recognize the whole through line comes all the way back to who do I know myself to be or who do I think I am instead and one of them is very unlimited and exalted and the other is very contracted and and you know experiencing emotional symptoms psychological symptoms physical symptoms chemical symptoms of some form or another because we’re constantly creating an imbalance in the big in the bigger picture in this in the master system of the body.
Guy:
It’s, it’s pretty wild. I, I do wonder sometimes how we ended up here now in this way of living, uh, in general, because in some ways, like I try and keep my- myself like simple, like maybe it’s just the male brain in me or, or whatever, but the moment I go to the mind and the complexities and the, the, it’s trying to understand everything and why it’s all happening, can, it can get in the way a lot. And I, And I feel in some ways healing is like that or, or whatever healing actually means to, to someone, or wholeness or, or like you say, living in alignment. It’s, it feels like if we go back, keep going back to the source of the river as opposed to everything downstream, then everything begins to change
Dr. Sue:
I think the closer we get to the source, Guy, the simpler it gets. It becomes really simple It’s is this true for me or is it not? Is the thought that I just thought, is it really true, accurate, or is it not? Is it loving or is it not? Is it based in kindness and flourishing and sharing, or is it based in guardedness and competitivism and, um, and surviving? You know, it gets r- d- we break it down to some real simplistic ideas that we can concentrate on on a daily basis that we could think about and notice and inquire about within and allow it to be quite simple. You know, I just gave an example of, you know, one way that the system breaks down, and there are a myriad of, of those examples.
But at the end of the day, if we were to trace that all the way back up to the, you know, to the beginning of the river up in the mountains where the rivers begin, um, instead of, you know, working way down in the tributaries that are… or into the expressions of the delta of where it’s infusing outwardly, if we’re back up at the top, it’s quite simple. And it, it requires, uh, a, a deeper appreciation of this self that has gotten left behind, a deeper appreciation for the me that was never taken into account when I started strategizing or comparing or competing or trying to make things work or achieve or accomplish something. And the fact that the whole of humanity is doing it, m- we don’t recognize that, oh my gosh, the whole of humanity is doing it incorrectly.
That’s what, you know, that’s the problem. It’s like when I was younger, uh, in my early 20s, uh, I was around people that, you know, I had grown up in an area, uh, of the, of the, um, the country where there was just a lot… It was in the Midwest and, and there was a lot of, you know, hometown country kind of experience where everybody was drinking and partying and, you know, it was just the… what they did for entertainment. And you grew up right inside of that, and there were certain attitudes that went with it and, you know, certain ways of being that come along and a group of people that are operating that way. And as, as we got older, I started realizing, you know, this is not, this is not the life I want to be living.
This is not how I want to be processing what happens because there’s a lot of, you know, flip answers and inconsiderations and just, it just, just a bowling over of things in a, in a gross manner, and I don’t mean that in a judgmental way. I mean in a massive way. Not the subtle energies of the divine that we started this conversation speaking about. Those subtle energies were what I was really craving, but I didn’t know that. And so I realized that I needed to move away from this group of people that were thinking in this way and operating in this way because everybody was thinking and operating that way. And the whole of humanity is doing something similar that isn’t healthy and that is addictive and that is externally oriented and st- overstimulated in some way.
Um, but they keep chasing it because there are embedded inside of those ways of being also some beautiful moments. Oh my gosh, the love and the beauty that happens with a, with a newborn child or falling in love or getting married or, you know, uh, developing your own company or your business. You’re following your dream. There are all sorts of beautiful experiences embedded inside that. But the overall, the undertow, is actually fear-based. There’s more of performance and protection infused in humanity’s way of living than should be. Than if in … And if it was not, our humanity would not be suffering, would not be wobbling and buckling over every time there’s some new invention.
Um, the, the AI, you know, phase that is, has everyone’s attention and their concern. If people were anchored and grounded in their true self, they would know that we’re, we’re at choice with all things, always, no exceptions. And so things aren’t gonna take over unless w- we don’t show up as a creative presence utilizing, you know, whatever it is, whatever the, the concern du jour is. 10 years ago it was some other concern. 10 years before that it was another concern. A generation before that it was another concern. And what we have to do is to see the patterns that we operate on in order to recognize, “I think I want something more. I think I want a different life, one that’s not just hunkering down and guarding and protecting ’cause I got a handle on top of this latest concern, and now I’ll be ready for the next one that comes.”
It’s a, that’s a disposition of pure battle, and we’re meant for so much more than that, so very much more than that. And, and when it’s time, we each start remembering there’s something more in store for me. And, you know, I love to offer people a pathway of figuring out how to find the door, to open that door, to even walk through it, and how to orient themselves in such a way that they can handle what, you know, that transition, that transformational, um, you know, aspect of, of being human. So
Guy:
I can so relate. I mean, I grew, I grew up in the Valleys of Wales, which was rugby and beer. rugby and beer. you know? And yeah I- w- it’s like we’re sitting on this technology that’s amazing. That’s how I see the human body. It’s like a miracle. Like, when you s- even contemplate what it’s doing right now as we speak, it’s unbelievable. And yet we’re, like you say, that we’re im- embedded in fear. The, it’s, it’s, it’s almost like in the zeitgeist the way, the way things are operating right now.
Dr. Sue:
Yes
Guy:
do you ever ponder on how we- we’re sitting on this… We’re, like, we’re, we’re sitting on all the answers within, yet we, we don’t know how to operate it. We’re not taught
Dr. Sue:
Yes. I, I know that we came here to figure it out. And so if we were to come here and land and have it be handed to us, we would never discover The, the t- the truth of it all. So we’re here as an adventurer in a project that is set up to allow us to experience ourselves discovering ourselves. And so if somebody handed it to us on a silver platter, you know, the fun is gone. It’s like the game of hide and seek, but nobody hides. You know, that’s no fun. So, so that whole thing is, is sort of at the foundation of what’s happening here because when I was in this exalted state and every time and I’m there, I know that I know who I am, who we each are, what’s actually happening here, the wholeness, the fullness, the comprehensiveness, the divinity, the presence, the knowing.
It’s all there. And we come down as if you jump on this big slide and you drop down into this world, and you forget, and we forget on purpose so that we can recall. And in the process of recalling, we’re refining aspects of our own full consciousness in ways that only participating in this kind of a project would do. We either are refining patience or a c- or courage or forgiveness or combinations of these things. We’re, we’re refining our adventure. We’re refining s- believing in oneself, knowing the self. We’re refining these qualities of how to work with the energy. We come here to learn how to work with the energies of the whole of creation here in the physical dimension.
I personally see it as we are on the frontier of consciousness. We’re here at the cutting edge, and so we’re moving into the density. We inject ourselves into the density where these things are not remembered. And through the course of our life experiences, we start to put the pieces together, and we start to remember. And as we start to remember, we draw those energies into our life experience in such profound measure that it begins to outweigh this fear-based, you know, disposition that we’ve acquired, you know, in the initial aspects of the project. And,
Guy:
Hmm.
Dr. Sue:
so we leave it better than we found it by coming in and resolving our own stuff, and we evolve and, and allow ourselves to be better at being this whole full divine presence even when we’re on the frontier in the battlefield. If we know that, then we, we can drop the battle to the ground. We don’t need to fight it. It, it’s something that only exists in a misperceiving, you know, state of consciousness, in a limited view. And so as we awaken and awaken, we realize that heaven is right here truly, and that it’s a choice, and that we’re exercising our ability to make that choice moment by moment by moment.
And in doing so, we build the neurocircuitry to be able to sustain that and move further. And further into the density, bringing the light into the density, which is, you know, illuminating the whole bandwidth of human consciousness, you know, as each person does their part. So, you know, that’s one way of looking at it.
Guy:
And, and well, do you feel as well, like it’s funny, I was thinking of the, the, do you know the g- the guy that did the four-minute mile? Is it Roger Bannister? I, I can’t remember.
Dr. Sue:
Oh, yes, yes,
Guy:
Yeah,
Dr. Sue:
Yes
Guy:
no, no one believed it could ever be done,
Dr. Sue:
Yeah
Guy:
guy goes and does it, and the next thing you know, everyone’s starting to be able to run a, a mile under four minutes.
Dr. Sue:
Which tells you it’s all about belief. It’s all about beliefs. People didn’t believe that was possible, and then they saw somebody do it, and so they believe it’s possible. Now more people can do it. It’s the same. It’s the same
Guy:
So I do wonder on like, I mean, I podcast, I, I’ve been doing this for 10 years. I, I try and jump on at least once a week and, and it’s, it’s definitely kept me humble, open. It’s taught me how to listen and, and I just love hearing other people’s thoughts, opinions, and, and have conversations around this, and it helps me grow, you know? And one theme that continually seems to be coming up is that this time in history, is that the, the, as we, with humanity, like it seems to be a special time at the moment. And I’m just wondering, do you have any thoughts on that? And I think about the four-minute mile, and I think about, you know, I’m always glass half full optimistic about where we go with our potential. how do you look at all these, what’s, what’s, what’s happening?
Dr. Sue:
I think this is an amazing time in history, and we are all here at this time on purpose. There’s no coincidence that everyone that is here on the planet at this time is here for this very, for these very things that are happening. And I think that the changes that are happening in the outer world are happening so rapidly that it’s causing everyone to question and to wobble in terms of, “I can’t hold on to the things that I used to think defined me. I can’t hold on to the things that I used to think made me safe or made me comfortable because they’re disappearing, they’re dissolving, they’re falling away.” You know, in the United States, this is definitely happening. We’re rewriting everything that, that the country has stood on is being, you know, shape-shifted every day.
Something more is being, you know, dissipated or dissolved or restructured in, in ways that are, you know, freaking out half of the country. And I know that it’s all in, you know, it’s in its right time, and I know that around the world these kinds of things are happening where everyone is impacted on rapid change, rapid evolution. And it’s happening because we’re supposed to let go of those things. We’ve been talking about needing to let go of our attachments and our dependencies for years, for decades. All of my adult life I’ve been hearing, you know, in, in the, in the world of psychology, in the world of energy medicine, in the world of quantum science, and inside of physical healing, natural healing, energy medicine, all of this has been saying, you know, we have to change our beliefs.
We have to let go of our beliefs. We have to let go of our attachments. We have to transform our minds if we want to be free. We have to become more sovereign, more integrated, more embodied. We have to be more collected and gathered, and we have to know who we are. The whole presence of know thyself is, you know, the prescription for healing on every level. And At this time in our outer world, our props are falling away so rapidly and rapidly changing with, with, you know, artificial intelligence and people being all up in arms about what’s gonna happen here, and is it gonna take over this, and we’re gonna lose jobs here, and this is gonna happen. It’s gonna use up all these resources.
And all the while, there’s always been something. You know, every generation has had something, and this generation is having quite a few things at the same time, and I think that that’s in divine order, too. That we’re literally being not just invited, you know, it’s– there’s an insistence that is happening here that we let go of how things used to be and that we start exploring and becoming m- leaning in instead of fighting against and becoming curious because it’s coming from every direction, and it’s, it’s this groundswell of transformation. And so in the midst of that, um, there’s a real opportunity for transformation, awakening, healing, changing who we are, reinventing ourselves that, that wasn’t possible for our parents and their parents and their parents. It wasn’t as easy. We’re awake enough to be able to take charge of and take, uh, advantage of these transformational insistencies that are upon us and, uh, and we know enough to know how to take them and do something, uh, productive with these, these invitations that are upon us.
Uh, that’s what I’ve been studying and working with, you know, my entire career because I knew somewhere inside of me that there was a reason that I was drawn to the things that I was drawn to and a reason that I had this big awakening twenty-six years ago and a reason that I recognized that the only way to recreate that same sense of stillness and wholeness and oneness and knowingness was to get in my body, and there was a reason that I was educated on embodiment and the physical body as a doctor. There was a reason for all of this, and there was a reason that deep inside my heart of hearts all I wanted to do was facilitate humanity. I wanted to make it easier for people, to help people understand this, that, or the other. In school, I was always the one that, that People would do their crash course studying with the night before the exam.
I was the one that was trying to distill it down and make it simple and make it user-friendly so that, you know, answers could be revealed. And, and right now in time, if we take a look on a big cosmic level, we’re in … We’re, we’re coming around the bend on what’s called a yuga, which is thousands of years of, of, you know, rotations of, of the sun and the stars, et cetera. And we’re coming around a bend for the first time in about 25,000 years where we’re moving toward, um, expansion and enlightenment and remembering. Instead of coming into compressive states where we’re the furthest from the center of rotation and everything is, is, is really in a contraction, we’re moving into a moment where expansion is in our favor.
Remembering is, is facilitated. It’s natural for you to be dissatisfied with the way things have been going, and it’s natural, of course, for you to be uncomfortable with not knowing what is next. But my invitation is for people to allow that discomfort to inspire you to learn about becoming the soulful self instead of looking for it, becoming the soulful presence instead of lis- remaining as a five-sensory human being and listening to spirit every once in a while. Trade seats. Be the spirit that’s coming into a body instead of a body that’s searching for spiritual meaning in your life. And so it might be a little mind-boggling at first. I call it a quantum flip, but it is the flip that is necessary, and it is what is here for us to do. At the end of the day, that’s what people are gonna have to do.
They’re gonna have to find a greater sense of self inside, a greater sense of comfort knowing, not in terms of protecting themselves or guarding or getting smarter at hiding from the bad things. It’s not that. And it’s not about, you know, beefing up and armoring up and bullying our way through and plowing through it by force. It’s about realizing we’re playing the wrong game It’s a game of duality that we’ve been playing, and we’ve been playing the game of duality and hoping for, you know, the idea of unity. And in reality, we have to flip over into playing the game of unity and just playing the game of unity and recognizing what that would mean is there’s nothing negative happening in your life.
It’s actually happening trying to show you your way into a more aligned version of yourself. There never has been anything negative that has happened, and I say that as one who was abused and abandoned and all the awe, all the stuff, it was there. But we have to look at those things as what did I learn? What did it engage? What did it awaken? What did it enliven? And if we’ve never looked at it that way, we just have to start. And when we do start and we find those connections, we start to see in real time the things that are happening right now through those same eyes. And we start to see that, you know, I don’t know what good this is gonna do, but it’s gonna do me some good, and I’m gonna spend my energy looking for that, looking for the good in it, looking for the benefit.
In what way is this gonna, you know, improve my health? Or in what way is this going to allow me to let go of old ways of being? Or what way is this gonna help my relationships or help my business or whatever the case may be? We have to make that flip. We have to make that change, and that’s why we came. We came to, to exercise our free will, and that’s the ultimate free will choice. Choose unity or choose duality. Your choice. That’s it. And so when we start to get serious about that, it’s good for people to know that there are some answers here, and that, and that we’ve actually been being shown how to do this for thousands of years.
But we couldn’t even read the textbooks. We couldn’t even read the annals about these things and hear what they had to say until we change our perspective. Then we can read those same words and we see, oh my gosh, the instruction manual is right here all along in all of life. So I get a little passionate about this, so
Guy:
Mate,
Dr. Sue:
that’s
Guy:
just sitting here listening to that.
Dr. Sue:
okay.
Guy:
“This is… Who wouldn’t want a bit of that?” Like, it’s amazing. Honestly, I love the passion. It’s awesome. I could, I could, I could listen to that all day, Sue, honestly. And,
Dr. Sue:
me Sebbag
Guy:
just a- I’m aware of the time, but I, I wanted to ask one last question for you, and, and that’s with your book. Uh, you’ve obviously released a book that’s, um, The Five Hidden Codes to Unlock Your Higher Consciousness and Divine Destinies, which is, of course, the anatomy of awakening. If somebody was to buy and read your book, what is your hope for them that they get out of that?
Dr. Sue:
You know, the, the, the beginning of the book is to, to give you the lay of the land of how your system works, similar to how I’ve been talking about it today. And the middle of the book is, is doing this quantum flip. It’s showing you how to come into this life as this divine presence, this energy presence that is comprehensive, more comprehensive than the energies that the average human being is walking around utilizing, and that’s the problem. All we have to do is start utilizing those energies. So the middle of the book, I show you how to start identifying that way and what life looks like through those eyes and how to engage them one at a time. That’s where these five codified approaches to understanding your life and who you are, uh, you know, are based.
And then in the third part of the book, it’s about how you start to implement that and what it looks like inside of relationship and engaging in conversations and interpreting the things that are happening in your life from this more of a creatorship than a survivorship perspective. And so what I want someone to walk away with is knowing that they have in their hands and, and having read it, that they have it activated now in their own system, uh, to, to recognize that this is the truth of who I am, and I’m gonna live my life from a new perspective, from a new realm, uh, a new realm’s perspective, uh, for the rest of my days. And what people are experiencing because of the work, long before I even put it in the book, I’ve been working with people at these principles for years and realized it had been too many years since my last book, The Energy Codes. And, and so I went, got busy and, and wrote things down, sharing my own, uh, experiences, um, on, on multidimensional experiences, really putting myself out there and, you know, just saying, “Well, you know, I hope, I hope it’s okay.”
You know, my scientific buddies are like, “You know, that’s far.” And my spiritual buddies are like, “Hallelujah, somebody needs to write this down.” And, uh, and then I move into the spiritual discussions and, uh, and from a scientific perspective, and s- then my scientific buddies are like, “I never thought of it that way.” So we just start to weave it together because it’s meant to be together. And, uh, and so we have the, we have the opportunity to do that. So it’s my desire that everyone remember their deep truth of who they are, and it’s much more than just a safer personality. It– the truth is you’re a divine quantum energy being.
You’re a, you’re a cosmic intelligence and a presence that is sacred and divine, and you’re here for purpose. And I, I want them to know that that purpose is discoverable by, uh, the means that are inside. So it’s not just theory. It’s lots of practices and things that people can do to start igniting this movement of photons into their core and, and flowing the stream of consciousness that we are. Uh, we’re a wave. We’re not a particle, but we’ve been living thinking we’re a particle, and so we have to learn how to let the wave flow again and- and e-embrace the changes that come and have the wherewithal to interpret them as they’re meant to be, which is in constant support of our unfoldment and our evolution and our awakening
Guy:
Love it. You’re a true inspiration, truly. And where
Dr. Sue:
you
Guy:
find more, like the website as well? can we send them? There’ll be links in the show notes as well for everyone, but just
Dr. Sue:
Sure. Yeah. I’m, I’m everywhere. YouTube channel, Dr. Sue Morter. Uh, website, drsuemorter.com. I do courses online. I have live events, uh, throughout the year. Uh, a few live events and lots and lots of online teaching. I’m constantly providing, you know, explorations with conscious mentorship and success mentorship based upon everything that I’m speaking about or a, just a deep spiritual inquiry of getting people to, to plug in. I have a year-long study program and all sorts of shorter, uh, engagements as well. So, uh, I’m around. I’ve certainly devoted my life to this message and, uh, it’s been the greatest choice I ever made. It’s just been a beautiful life experience
Guy:
Absolutely. Absolutely. Thank you so much for your time. And yeah, just, it’s just been wonderful sitting here. The hour has absolutely flown and,
Dr. Sue:
Oh,
Guy:
just want– yeah,
Dr. Sue:
yes. Thank, oh, thank you. And thank you, Guy. Uh, what you’re doing, bringing people together and holding conversations like this, it’s so, so important, so thank you for your devotion, your commitment to doing so as well. It’s a joy to be here with you
Guy:
Thank you. Thank you.
