#462 In this podcast episode, Guy talked with Marysol Ximenez-Carrillo about her journey from professional singer and performer to intuitive sound and energy healing practitioner. Marysol shared how her struggles with depression and emotional sensitivity had led her to explore soul journeys, helping her understand deeper patterns and recognize her sensitivity as a gift rather than a weakness. She explained how intuitive singing, light language, and energy work had helped people reconnect with their true selves, release emotional burdens, and rediscover who they were beneath years of conditioning.
The conversation also explored the importance of speaking one’s truth, setting healthy boundaries, embracing vulnerability, and integrating spiritual insights into everyday life. By the end, Marysol emphasized that healing had been more about remembering one’s true essence than fixing oneself, and she shared a beautiful live sound transmission intended to bring listeners love, compassion, and inner peace.

Marysol:
Who am I really? Who am I beneath all those layers of beliefs, of patterns, of conditioning, of all of that? I was always a people pleaser and I wanted to help everyone, and that did not go well. That’s been a huge learning curve for me. Speaking your truth, ’cause we do carry a lot in our voices, right? If we go into other lifetimes, it’s all happening at the same time, right? ‘Cause outside of this Earth, there’s no linear time. Maybe you’re still carrying something where you’ve been shut down, where you were maybe even killed for speaking your truth. Maybe you were too powerful. Or in this lifetime as a child, you weren’t heard. Nobody was interested in what you had to say.
Guy:
Guy here, just a quick one from me. Just letting you know that this coming month I’ve opened some spots up for intimate group healing sessions that are done virtually, which I conduct, and they can be done from anywhere over the world. Who are these sessions for? I feel I can certainly support you if you’re finding yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually a challenge or having challenges within your life. This kind of energy healing work can certainly support that on your own inward journey as well. So if you wanna find out more and come and check it out, there’ll be links below. Anyway, and you get to hang out with me for an hour and meet me in person as well, which is awesome. Let’s get into Marisol. This is a beautiful podcast, by the way. She’s just great. Enjoy.
Guy:
Marysol, welcome to the podcast my lovely.
Marysol:
Oh, thank you so much for having me.
Guy:
How, how would you describe what you do these days? I’m intrigued ’cause there’s a lot of language around this area of, of what we do, and I still struggle with this to this day, to be honest with you.
Marysol:
Yes, and, and it sometimes is hard to put into words, right? Um, we work in the field of energy. So, um, what I do is I am a singer. I, I was on stage full-time for many years, so singing has always been my passion and my happy place, and also a place for healing. So I’ve, I’ve worked with sound for a long time, and I combine the sound and the energy healing work. So always say I let it sing me. So in the work that I do with clients and groups, I, bring it together. I bring together energy work, inner journeying, and singing, and I sing intuitively. So I follow the in the field, and it basically sings me with, you could say sounds, toning, light language, um, sometimes lyrics.
So that which wants to come through, um, comes through the sound as well, and I, I often see like streams of light and codes that move into the sound and then flow to the person and the client, um, or the group. And, um, it’s just, um… I love it so much ’cause you really have to take a step back allow it to flow. And so I’m very visual and, and have, um… When I close my eyes, I have a lot of visions, and it’s kind of like they show me like a movie that unfolds. So I guide people through that as well, and I combine all of that. Um, yeah, so that’s a very short version of.
Guy:
No, it, it’s great. It’s, yeah, it’s a great place to start as well because I, I, I still feel that, you know, unless you start to have direct experiences with the things you talk about, it’s hard to conceptualize, well, how is that gonna help me? Especially when we’re in such a, a space of the f- the three-dimensional physical reality, and we’re constantly seeking things to, to take and do to correct something, as opposed to really getting to the root of something.
And I, I feel for many people, it’s not until we kind of go through a rites of passage at some capacity that we get a deeper understanding of what you just said, y- y- you know, and, and how that can actually impact our lives as well. And I do want to unpack those things in a moment, but I feel that it might be better to help people through your own journey of how you’ve come to the realization.
‘Cause even the fact that you say you see things and you, and that, I, I, uh, remind me to unpack that a bit later as well, okay? Of how that starts to come. But, so when did you realize that this modality or way of supporting, not only just to express your own gifts, but to actually start to tie in the relationship with your own struggles and challenges in your life, to lean into these modalities of work to support us or support you?
Marysol:
yeah, that goes way back. So now I’m, I’m gonna be 44 in a couple of weeks, and this journey, like, consciously started when I was my late teens. I’ve been on this path for about 25 years. And it started, um, because in my teenage years I suffered from severe depression, um, because I’ve, I’ve always been highly sensitive and I’ve never felt like I fit into this world. I felt like I was misplaced here. um, that was very difficult for me during my teenage years and into my 20s. And, and even though I got to live my dream, so I went on to study singing, dancing, and acting with 18. I went to university, to the University of Arts in Berlin, and so that was wonderful, but inside I felt like I was just falling apart.
And so I went to see conventional therapists, which in that case didn’t help me. And so already in my 20s I started seeking out help from people that work in this field, I was lucky to find an incredible woman in Berlin who does soul journeys. so I started working with her and that, um, that opened doors for me and I started understanding why I was feeling the way I was feeling, and that started that whole journey of diving into these modalities and trying to figure out who I am and what this is all about. And so that, that’s been a long process. And then, yeah.
Guy:
I, can I ask you a question on that? Yeah, no, it’s, it’s beautiful. Yeah. Um, through, so, like, when you were in those, that darker time through the depression, ’cause I, I even in my 20s, I felt like looking, reflecting, maybe I was depressed, I just didn’t get diagnosed, ’cause I kind of had these feelings I couldn’t shake.
Marysol:
Mm-hmm.
Guy:
a time, and it was like, uh, I, I don’t even know where to start, you know? Um, but were there any kind of traumas or events that you were kind of putting the, imposing the sto- the, the, the mind onto those events that were creating that? Or was it, like, you just felt helpless, you couldn’t even understand why, that this was happening to me kind of thing?
Marysol:
That was the thing. I didn’t go through major trauma. Like, I had a good upbringing, of course, with… We all have our, our
Guy:
Of course
Marysol:
I did grow up in a loving family, and my parents were always very supportive of me and my dreams. And then that dream did come true that I got to go to university, which wasn’t easy to get into. I got to leave school three years early. So on the outside, everything was good, but on the inside, um, I just fell apart, and that made it worse ’cause I couldn’t put it on anything, and I felt guilty ’cause I thought my life is good, and I saw how others were struggling with severe trauma and, and difficult situations and challenges. And so I, I felt like I didn’t have the right to feel like that, and that made it worse for me.
Guy:
Yeah, no, that makes sense. And was then, ’cause obviously the tradi- the, and I’m not knocking any modalities, but then the traditional kind of therapy, was that talk therapy and then actually just expressing it, but not actually then getting to the root? Is that what felt what was happening for you?
Marysol:
Yes. And, and I’m sure there are wonderful therapists out there, so I don’t wanna, like, put that
Guy:
Hmm.
Marysol:
way. But for me it wasn’t right because they didn’t know what to do with me. Like, it was kind of like I knew which questions they were gonna ask, I knew what I was gonna respond, but I thought this is all, we’re on the surface. That’s not… Like, I felt that we weren’t getting to what we were meant to get to. And so when I met this woman in Berlin and we went in energetically and, and into all those layers and levels of the soul, when things started coming up and I started realizing them that I don’t think I would’ve found in conventional therapy.
Guy:
Yeah, okay. And what did she find? Like, how, how would… At the time, did she, how did she describe the soul to you? Like, were you aware of that at the time and think okay, or were you just like, “What is this soul shit? Okay, I’ll just give it a go anyway ’cause, um, nothing else is making sense.”
Marysol:
Well, I’m very lucky ’cause my mom is pretty spiritual, so
Guy:
Mm-hmm
Marysol:
had a sense that there’s more, and I’ve always been awake to a certain degree. Like, I’ve– I don’t remember a time where I wasn’t aware of the soul or the spiritual realm, so I– it might have still been a bit confusing, and I didn’t know what it was exactly, but I was always aware of it. So diving in with her, it just kinda clicked, and it made so much sense, and then she just took me in deeper. But it was fairly easy for me to go into those, realms and into depth like that. Yeah.
Guy:
Uh, and, and w- w– you know, you, you don’t have to s- spill everything out, but what did you find? Like, what did you realize what the catalyst for… And did it help resolve the, the depression that you’d been experiencing?
Marysol:
Yes. So, um, we moved into a lot of things that not only cleared a lot but also made me realize that I am highly sensitive and I always will be. but that, that is also a gift ’cause it felt like a curse and I realized it’s also a gift because in the work that I do it serves me really well. but I had to learn to see it that way and to also navigate it, to see how I move through this world whilst being so sensitive and open to things and how do I use it and, yes, move through the world in a way that is for me and good for me. And so things that we also moved into, um, it was past lifetimes and also– I mean, bless my father.
He’s, he passed nearly 10 years ago. He always supported me, but he had a very, um, he was very traumatized from his childhood. Um, that would be too much to go into, but… he had a lot of issues and of course as his child there was a dynamic of that, so… And I found out that I, um, I actually agreed on a soul level to clear a lot also from that lineage. there was a lot of pressure from that lineage and from those things that came in, so that’s just one example of, of a lot of things that I cleared that also caused me so much pressure on myself and to just never be enough, never good onough, enough, and have such high standards and of course that combined with the sensitivity was not very helpful. So that’s just an example of, of
Guy:
Yeah, yeah, no, it’s, it’s great. I, and look, I, I, I’m nodding and relating because I had a session. There’s, there’s a lady, uh, called Sabrina De Netto. I’m not sure if you’re aware of her.
Marysol:
Anona
Guy:
she’s, she’s an amazing healer in Belgium, and I’ve gotten to know her over the last year, and I had a session with her ’cause there was just something I was feeling needing to move as well, and she guided me into the, the soul contract with my dad.
Marysol:
Mm-hmm
Guy:
Now, I’m just, honestly, I’m just a guy from Wales, honest- Like, I played rugby, I drank beer. It was, you know, very, very, very simple what I see in front of me is doing, but there was always this feeling underneath of heart, if you like.
Marysol:
Mm-hmm.
Guy:
even though when I went into that journey, it c- I was feeling into the essence. I wasn’t getting visualizations or anything. I could feel my, the anxiety in m- my body as it was going through in this holding, and then it just started to move. And she said, “Do you agree?” And I said, “Yes.” Like, to, to release that binding contract, and my, my, my soul’s evolution is ready to expand more now from that answer.
Now, my brain’s going, “This is just ridiculous.” This, you know, this can be, you know, this could be a fantasy in somebody’s head or, or whatever, but through leaning in all this. And I wanna express the point because then the next morning I had to get up at about 4:00 AM, and I felt this purging for about an hour, even longer, where this, this just energy was just releasing from me. I felt it coming out of my, all my be- sense of being. I was burping and belching,
Marysol:
Mm-hmm
Guy:
and, uh, and this pressure, it was wild. And I’m like, “Holy shit.” You know? That’s a, that’s a new experience with a deeper understanding again of what’s possible
Marysol:
Mm-hmm.
Guy:
this. So I hear you.
Marysol:
Mm-hmm. Yeah, it’s been quite a journey.
Guy:
Yeah. And, and with that then, what did you do with that? So you’re starting to release. Did you feel like then you were going through these reiterations or, uh, of, of reliving that trauma as you’re going through it? Or was it like it just, it just left and you’re just like, “Oh, I feel great”?
Marysol:
Well, um, something in the middle. So the way she worked with soul journeys, like you move back, in time to those moments or moments where something occurred, and sometimes I did go through em- emotions again, it wasn’t like I had to go through the whole story again. But sometimes emotions still want it to be felt and moved through, she has a wonderful way of bringing you always into, um, even if it was painful and, and challenging to move through, but bringing it to full circle at the end. So, I always left with a sense of more ease and having released something, and even if it would still work in my system for a couple of days, I did really notice the difference
Guy:
Mm-hmm. Okay. Okay. So what did, what did you then do with that? Is that when you, like, were just embracing the arts even more and, and just sort of feeling in a content place, or were you, like, starting to embrace the gifts that you share with the world now? Uh, what happened?
Marysol:
Yes, basically all of that over a long period of time. So I mean, I was, I was on stage full time, and the world of theater is beautiful and also absolutely crazy. So, um, I started using what I was experiencing and learning to navigate that world better as well, because you’re confronted with many different people and often characters that are not always easy. So I learned to myself, to, um, be present for myself and, and already back then when I sang a performance, I– it felt like I was channeling already. So my intention before a show was always that with the story I’m telling, with the songs I’m singing, that that moves through me to the audience, which they’re meant to receive.
Like, it was al-always my goal to touch something within them. Um, so it– I got– I always had this one image, like I prepared in a certain way before a show, and then I always saw just this in my mind, in my mind’s eye, the audience. So maybe, I don’t know, between… It was anything between five hundred and five thousand people, depending on the theater.
Guy:
Wow
Marysol:
and I just saw all these beating hearts and I was like, “Wow, this is like a huge field of, of heartbeats.” I mean, that might sound weird, but that’s just what I, what I saw, and it was just my intention to really allow that to come through what people need. So I think that already started during those years, and I then took that into the work that I do now with the sound and the singing. So it all started blending and, yeah, bringing me to, to where I am now.
Guy:
Yeah. That’s phenomenal. That’s phenomenal. When, um, ’cause even I was gonna say, when I get, uh, we do a lot of events and one-day events, and we get sometimes between 50 and 100 people, and I always feel there’s an excitement and a buzz coming. Uh, you can feel the energy crackling as, you know, the people, the anticipation. People, especially in this line of work, can be nervous. There’s anxiety or there’s excitement. It’s all like this melting pot and being able to stay in your own center while you do that. Do you, do you miss that, that now from what you’re doing to that performance thing, or do you just feel like it’s been a natural transition for you?
Marysol:
Both. So it’s been a natural transition, but if I’m completely honest, and I’m all for honesty and vulnerability, and I miss it horribly. So that’s been a big process in the past years ’cause the, the change, even though it felt natural, was very sudden. Um, and so I, miss it very much ’cause there are many aspects of it that I truly enjoy, and I’m not saying I won’t ever do it again be- but the way the world changed in the past years, I just– there were certain circumstances that led to me doing it in the past years. Um, so I really miss it, but I do have big visions with what I do now to hold, like, sound healing concerts, you know, to sing songs for the heart and to combine it also with sound healing.
So, um, who knows where it’s gonna take me with what I do now, and I know that it, it wants to find a new way to, to be expressed and to come. If, if there’s an opportunity to do a show somewhere that feels aligned, I wouldn’t say no. um, the way the theater world is and to still be doing that full-time would cost me a lot. It– I would have to pay a high price for that right now.
Guy:
Yeah, fair enough. Fair enough. And with the combining the sound, your voice, and the healing, you know, s- I, I work with a s- sound healer, and I use the word healing in inverted commas as well, ’cause it’s like, how do you describe it sometimes? How, how do you then see the, like, the, the mechanics of this supporting someone on their own journey? Like, if y- if you were to go back to, you know, the 20-year-old Marisol as you now, and you were able to work with her, like, how would you see that work affecting that person in this-
Marysol:
Oh, that’s a, that’s a great question. Yeah. if I look at myself back then and now and with the work I do, the work would offer her at that stage a space to be seen and heard and held in. Um, and through the sound it– the great thing is the sound moves beyond time and space, so it actually works with all your aspects of this incarnation and others that wish to receive or that are connected to a certain issue. the sound– I see the sound move through the quantum field or the field of all that is where all is interconnected. so the sound can support the release of emotions. A lot of people, um, cry and release something when the sound moves through their field and their body. Um, you can offer activations through the sound.
So it would have helped me also in the sense of tuning into my own power and into my, my essence. Who am I really? W-what is– Who am I beneath all those layers of beliefs, of patterns, of conditioning, of all of that? Like, the sound can, can offer a space that brings you into remembrance and that’s a big word for me, remembrance, ’cause I, I don’t think we’re here to fix anything, but to remember something. And especially in the, let’s say, healing industry or the spiritual bubble, sometimes I find it’s so much about, “Do this course, do that. You need to fix this. You need to heal this.” And while there’s much out there which is so valuable and wonderful, and I mean, I offer things as well, I think it’s about how we go into that.
So n- I always advise people to, to not move in in a way of seeing it, “I need to fix myself,” or, “There’s something wrong with me,” but, can I come into remembrance and from that point what needs healing, release what needs release?” But yeah, so I guess to bring it to full circle, there, there’s deep remembrance of our soul within the sound. ‘Cause I, I c- I do connect to someone’s higher self and their team, and I consciously ask for their own soul and their own higher self to infuse the sound with their own essence. kind of like they’re experiencing their own– the core of their being through the sound, if that makes.
Guy:
Mm. It d- it does, totally. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And what do you see then? Like, how do you see it? ‘Cause when I do a, a group s- session with people, I, I, I, I, I just kinda have to get out of the way, and actually the energy just, just comes through, you know? And I can feel it coming out, and I don’t really get visuals at the moment. I do in my meditations and things, but when I’m in work and it’s almost like the more I’m actually removed, the , the m- the more, uh, effective it is. I find it, this whole thing fascinating. And yeah, I’m just curious, do you just like see it in your thir- in your mind’s eye? Is it clear as day, or is it more of a knowing? H- how does it work for you?
Marysol:
Well, I completely agree with you. I need to, like, step back completely so, um, that I just serve as the channel. And, that’s, that’s been a beautiful of learning for me when I got into this more ’cause on stage, you know, everything’s prepared, everything’s rehearsed. But with this work, I don’t know what’s gonna come. I c- I can only prepare vibrationally and prepare the space energetically, but I don’t know what’s gonna come. I don’t know who my client is gonna be, what’s gonna show up. So, um, I’ve learned to really step back.
And then I do see a lot, but it’s not that I force it or that I need to see something. Like you said, sometimes it’s just a knowing. they do show me like movies sometimes, and I just go with it. And, um, I don’t question it. And, it’s beautiful ’cause when I don’t question it and I don’t analyze it with my mind and I just say what comes, somehow always makes sense for the person that I’m guiding. Um, so I, I follow that which shows up. And then when I sing, it’s, kinda like I, I see and feel the sound move in that field. And I’ll know how long to sing, what to sing. It just happens. Like, I don’t need to choose it. It just happens in the moment.
Guy:
Yeah.
Marysol:
that’s how it flows.
Guy:
Yeah, fascinating, fascinating. And what are your thoughts then on, um… I, I, I want to understand the– ’cause you’ve– I s-saw on your website, and I’ve just got a couple of notes here as well, and I think you even mentioned it, but around light language, how do you interpret that as well and, uh, its effectiveness? I-I’m just cur- I’m just curious.
Marysol:
So for me, language, if you wanna put it in a nutshell, is a cosmic language that you receive through the heart, and it speaks to the soul. And I know there are many people that use it right now, and it sounds very different for everyone. for me, for the singing, it’s wonderful ’cause it’s completely intuitive, and it bypasses the linear thinking mind. I can give expression to an energy without having to use words, and it just holds the frequency of it. um, I was, really happy when it came through. Um, it was, I think, five years ago. Yes. And I didn’t know.
Guy:
Okay
Marysol:
light language. I just started singing it, I didn’t know what it was, and then I started doing some research. Um, so it’s kind of like a vehicle that, that I use to express something, but on that soul level, on the vibrational level, not on the level of our linear thinking mind.
Guy:
So is it like a, like a, uh, just like a frequency almost like sound as well is im- im- imbues with your voice and a- as that comes through, there’s … Then that is inherently … ‘Cause I- I’m always fascinated on the journey of this word healing and, and the requirements and the benefits from this work and how does that show up in our life and, and even, um, you know, there’s, there’s a sense of, oh, I’m just gonna come and have a session, but then we don’t meet it in our everyday life. It’s almost like we just wanna lay back, forget, and hope something happens, but then we don’t change the other aspects, you know, and look at it as our life as one big spiritual journey or unconsciously that we, we do that. So I’m always fascinated by how this work then affects the body and how then it affects us and how we show up differently.
Marysol:
In the world. Yeah
Guy:
the world. Do you know what I’m saying?
Marysol:
Absolutely, and I, I think that is such an important point and a crucial point because I don’t believe in, like, going to someone having a session and thinking, “Fe- heal me, fix me,” like, and, and then everything’s just gonna be great. what you said is essential, that we use these tools and the help, uh, be that something that we experience in a one-on-one session or in a group setting or at a retreat, and to then see how do I take that into my everyday life? Because, um, this work can help tremendously, but we need to make it ours, and we need to implement it into our daily lives. Um, and ultimately none of us has all the answers, and we can only offer that which moves through us to someone, and then it’s up to each and every one of us to take those things that work for us and put them together and use that.
And I, I think that’s also, um, what it’s about right now. I mentioned remembrance, but also coming into your power, um, ’cause nothing is outside of yourself. So I can’t give you anything that’s not already somewhere in you. I might be able to help you access it, to remember it, to feel it, but it’s yours. It’s, it’s already there. It’s already within you. So, um, so if you, for instance, have a session and you experience a certain state of being while you’re held in that sound, um, you know, you c- you can come back to that place in your everyday life.
For instance, if you’re moving through a situation that’s difficult, you could remember, “Well, how did I feel when I was really in the space of my heart and I was held in that sound and I felt so loved and seen? How can I use that feeling now ’cause I’ve experienced it. It’s part of me, right? I can’t lose it.” It might, it might feel like that you don’t have access anymore because you’re in a difficult situation. Maybe you’ve closed off a bit, but it can’t get lost. You can always come back to it. So I think that’s really important too, to see how you can use it as you move through your life.
Guy:
Yeah, absolutely. I, I kind of, I look at it like quite often you, you do the, um, you do the processes, you, you have these sessions,
Marysol:
Mm-hmm.
Guy:
you get these, these, these insights and these real liberations of feelings.
Marysol:
Mm-hmm.
Guy:
But to me, that’s only, the job’s only half done, ’cause there’s gonna be then moments where we then need to s- to step into the, the, the discomfort of the change that we seek, and it’s in that moment really those expanded states are, are being transmuted and liberated into a different form of energy, the courage to do so or whatever that might be. You know, to me, that’s where the, the real nuance and the rubber meets the road.
Marysol:
Yeah.
Guy:
And then you can draw up- you can draw upon what it is and, and, and step into that because spirit’s already given you the insight. You’ve already had the shift. But we can so easily fall back into the old way if we don’t then take that inspired action in the moment of what’s been, uh, revealed to us through the remembrance of what it is our journey is. That’s why I’m, I’m
Marysol:
that… Oh, sorry. Yeah, go ahead.
Guy:
no, please tell me more. So have I. Like, you know, I’ve, I’m, I’m kind of openly speaking a lot more about things that have been happening to me and just owning it because, uh, I, I really feel that if we’re not authentic in our, in our heart and our soul and how we express ourselves and what we do and, you know, that’s not gonna, um, line up with everybody else’s belief systems, but that’s okay. You know? It’s, it’s … Uh, and we just, you know, step up and get on with it. There’s a reason why it’s we’re doing what we’re doing.
I’m standing here right now in Lake Taupo in a beautiful retreat space, and there’s a vast difference between an intellectual experience and passive listening to a fully embodied lived experience, ’cause that’s what retreats can do. They can help you land, start to truly reconnect to yourself, to others, to nature, and to spirit as well. There’s so much in it. That’s why we created Live in Flow, and that’s why we are so passionate about getting this work out there and bringing people together. If you wanna find out more when our next retreat or event is coming up, just check out the link below. And now, back to the podcast.
Marysol:
And I think that there’s a b- great need for that as well right now, and that’s what I appreciate about your podcast and, and your authenticity and sharing vulnerably ’cause, you know, the world doesn’t need perfect gurus on a pedestal. I think we all need real people. And n- like I said, none of us has all the answers, and we’re all moving through our journey. And my experience has been if I allow myself to show up vulnerably and, and authentically, people really appreciate that. Um, yeah, so I- I’ve been moving through that this year ’cause I went through a profound process in Peru in February.
Guy:
Oh, do tell
Marysol:
con- I, I’m very connected to that land. I went there seven years ago, which was profound and the start to a lot of, um, to a deep transformational process that I went through, and I always knew I would return, it just fell into place this February. And it was such a profound journey. I was there with a very specific group, um, with a shaman from Peru, um, that I’ve known for many years, and I’m part of that organization and, and the lineage that he offers, to us. Uh, and it was such a beautiful container, and I’d never done plant medicine before because I’m so connected. I feel connected to the cosmic realms, realms, and it’s so easy for me to journey anyway.
It’s much harder for me to be human. Like, for me, it’s more about to embody my human self and to say yes to being here now in this body. That’s what’s more challenging for me. But so we did do San Pedro, which is the cactus, and I’d never done anything. And I did tune in before, and I checked with my body, and I said, “Do I wanna do this?” And I got a big yes, so I thought, “Okay.” Um, and it took me into, like, a 10-hour journey where I really went through a deep, deep journey of meeting myself through a process of and being rebirthed. It’s very hard to explain in words. It was so profound. Um, it must have been 10 hours at least, uh, before I came out of it again.
Guy:
That’s a long time.
Marysol:
way. Yeah. And I knew this would take me months to integrate, in a bad way, but just moving through that. And exactly what you said, like, it’s, it’s also opened me up to taking a deeper look at myself, the relationship I have with myself and things that I’m moving through. And so since that time, I’ve also gone through really uncomfortable moments, moments that where I’m looking myself in new ways and moving through deeper levels that are sometimes really uncomfortable. But as you said, that’s part of that.
And then I go back to that moment feeling That also self-love and appreciation for my human self and as I am here, and I go back to how I felt in that moment, and I, I do my best to bring it into the present moment and to see how can that serve me now while I may be moving through difficult emotions or that’s painful. So, uh, and I know this journey will continue for me, and it’s taking me deeper into who I am and my work and, and it continues and, and as you say, it– we, we move through these levels, and I think it’s f- it’s really good to talk about it and to show people that this is, this is how it is, and it’s okay. And, um, th-this is just how it is, our human experience, and it’s part of, part of it all, right?
Guy:
The, totally, totally. It’s like, y- uh, you know, it’s easy to put somebody on a pedestal if they, in front of an audience or if you’re, if you’re out front or if you decide to start a podcast like I did 10 years ago, whatever, and, and you just, you know … I, I don’t do anything glamorous in my life really. I just, I just do the basics really well and just, uh, but I lean into those points where the discomfort is when it arises, and really feel into the next requirement of what’s calling me forward. And as uncomfortable as that can be, m- my life has transformed dramatically just by doing that. So a lot of it is always just showing up, right, and, and just be in presence. Like, uh, eh, I don’t think it’s rocket science in some ways, but we tend to.
Marysol:
Yes
Guy:
everything. Where do you feel your direction is now moving with, with the, what’s happening and, um, s- since February?
Marysol:
So I definitely feel, how do I say it? A grander, in a beautiful way, stretch into both directions. So really serving as that bridge between the above and the below, and being in both worlds at the same time. And to, like you said, make things less complicated. So I’m a person, I’m really– I’m of the heart, but my m- my mind can also, like, go off the rails and I try to understand everything. So I’ve come to this point, like, after years with many things, I’m like, “Oh, I need to understand this,” and how does that go with that? And, and I’m at this point where I’m like, “Do, do we really know anything?” Like, and that brings a curiosity and an openness. So I’ve been moving through this process of being, being okay with not knowing, and that doesn’t mean I don’t have the clear knowing when I’m in– when I’m aligned and, and offering something.
It’s very clear in that moment. But that openness to all that’s available to us and all the things our mind can’t comprehend, to be okay with that. Um, so yeah. So I feel I’ve been called to, deepen that within me, to surrender more. Um, I know that’s a word we use often, but I’ve been reflecting on that a lot. What does it actually mean to surrender? What is that? And, and I feel that moving into my work as well, because if I allow myself that depth and that honesty with myself, um, I do feel that shift also in, in what I offer.
Guy:
Yeah.
Marysol:
Yeah.
Guy:
Yeah, no, it was beautiful. Uh, the, what I want to, um, bring up as well then is, ’cause again, this is a common theme we see and hear and feel is about expression of voice. Expression of voice, s- speaking our truth, overgiving,
Marysol:
Yeah
Guy:
bou- boundaries, our, uh, our stepping into our own power. Like all these elements, I’d be interested to hear your take on this, espe- especially through you being a singer and somebody that uses their voice all the time.
Marysol:
Hmm. Well, all the things you mentioned are actually things that I love supporting people with because, you know, I d- my goal is for someone to, to not need anyone outside of theirself. I mean, yes, for inspiration, and we all need support at times, but to, to be their own person, to find out who they are at their core, and to use their voice as well in whatever way, that may be. So that doesn’t have to be singing, but can we speak our truth, like you said? Are we afraid to speak up? Where do I set my boundary? So, um, those have been crucial things for me as well ’cause I was always a people pleaser, and I wanted to help everyone, and that did not go well. So I… also in the theater world, where they sometimes walk all over you, I had to learn to really set boundaries. and how do I do that respectfully but still clearly? Um, so that’s been a huge learning curve for me. with using my voice, I also have a session called Activating Your Voice, and that doesn’t mean you have to be a singer, but like you said, to come into your expression and, speaking your truth ’cause we do carry a lot in our voices, right?
Also within the different levels vibrationally because if we go into other lifetimes… and, I mean, it’s all happening at the same time, right? ‘Cause outside of this Earth, no linear time, maybe you’re still carrying something where you’ve been shut down, where you were, um, maybe even killed for speaking your truth. Maybe you were too powerful. Or in this lifetime, as a child, you weren’t heard. Nobody was interested in what you had to say. So we can also shut down and be afraid to say something because of the experience we’ve had in this lifetime or another. So I use my voice also to move through that and to clear old patterns or beliefs, um, always in alignment with that person. So I feel it always releases and clears to the level that someone’s ready for because I
Guy:
Mhm
Marysol:
that these things happen in layers and levels, so not up to me to decide what’s good for that person. So I, I align myself in a way that the energy flows and is directed by their higher self to unfold in the way that it works for them in that moment. But, um, but that’s a big part of my work as, as well, um, helping people to find their own voice again and their expression and, um, not being afraid to step into the world with, with what they have to offer in whatever way that may be.
Guy:
Yeah. Okay.
Marysol:
Yeah.
Guy:
do you feel then it’s a … So that, those aspects, like you say, uh, it could be a past life, it could be something that happened at child- childhood or whatever, where we’ve been shut down or like you said, you’ve been killed for speaking your voice or whatever. Whatever it is, then, like, I’m trying to help with the listeners, like, where is that? Is that in our field? Is that in the, just the, the quantum aspect that’s then affecting our nervous system and our homeostasis and our body and the way it operates? I, I remember reading a book years ago, because I used to do day trading. I don’t think I’ve had a, a real job in my whole life. I’ve always kind of hopped from one thing to the next.
But, um, um, it talked about a computer program, and you only need one or two zeros or ones out, and every time you run the program, every time it got to that wrong digit, the, the whole thing’s not gonna run properly. And, and it, uh, it just stood, it stood out for me for the last 20 years or whatever it would be. And, and I, and I kind of look at this work in some ways, is there a few zeros and ones that keep revealing themselves that are ready to be defragged in some way?
Marysol:
Yes, I
Guy:
do you, how do you see that process working with people? You know, because if somebody comes to you expressing all these, these challenges, you know, they might be in a relationship. They, they feel like they’ve, they got no boundaries. They’re saying yes to everyone. They don’t know, they put themselves last. They can’t speak their truth. They, they, you know, there’s a big mask that they’re wearing per se, you know. And how do you see them unwinding out of that, uh,
Marysol:
Hmm.
Guy:
that expressive self? I don’t know. I don’t know. I’m just, I’m just speaking as it comes to me at the moment.
Marysol:
yeah, good question. so the way it shows up for me in a session, like for instance, if we go into what you’ve just mentioned and, and into, I call it the portal of our voice ’cause it is like a portal. Um, I’ll try to explain it the best I can. So I’ll see the field of all that is, and I call in those aspects of a person of this lifetime or any other that is connected to that which wishes to be cleared in that moment or released or activated, whatever it may be. I kind of see like, um, it’s like dots of light that show up in the field and some are further away, some are closer. nice thing is we don’t need to go into every story, and we don’t need to relive every trauma. Um, we don’t need to know every past life. Like, it’s, it’s actually a really cool way of moving through it, I find.
I, I love that it works like this. Um, I see these aspects appear and then when I, when I hold the atten- intention for something and the sound begins to flow, I see how it moves to the different aspects in the field. And, um, so I detach from the outcome so that every aspect receives that which it needs in that moment. And so it’s a whole process that moves through that. And then of course, that is something that then happens in the, in the energetic field, right? But then as you said before, it’s up to us to carry that into our everyday life. So of course, if, if you’ve been someone that has always had a problem speaking up or, um, setting a boundary, most often, with some exceptions, but usually it’s not gonna be like you go out of the session and boom, you just do it. It’s also something we need to practice, right?
And it’s something that comes in from the non-physical into the physical, and I think it’s then very important to s- to keep checking in with you. What do I need? Do I need more support? Um, what is it that I need within this process? ‘Cause sometimes, like I said, there are more levels to it, layers to it. And then to give yourself some time to practice it because as with everything, what we practice becomes easier. So for instance, now after all these years, a lot easier for me to set a loving boundary than it would’ve been 10 years ago. I practiced it, and in the beginning it was like, “Ah, didn’t do it again.” You know? But I became aware of it quicker. It’s kind of like you start becoming aware of your mechanisms earlier on, so you, you always– you have the possibility to respond in a different way earlier on in the process. Does that make sense?
Guy:
It does. Your awareness deepens, doesn’t it? And, but no, I mean, but you can be aware to your heart’s content if you don’t do something with it. That, and, and also we can, if we, if we keep digging, we’re gonna find shit, you know? Like, that’s sometimes we just gotta stop digging and actually just apply what, what, what is there. And, and the other thing that I thought of, uh, ’cause you spoke about it comes in layers as well, my, my sense and feeling is, is that our nervous systems just simply can’t cope if too much is, is released or liberated
Marysol:
Yeah
Guy:
i- in certain moments due to the development of our awareness and the f- I guess the foundations we’ve already acquired within those, those moments. Because it- it’s almost like alchemy, isn’t it? It, it’s, it’s really shifting from, from something to another in, in some ways, and, and that is the journey, and I think that’s where people can, can fall up, uh, as well, you know? With your, your view, uh, or your vantage point of what you’ve gone through, where you are, and where you’re heading, and seeing people, what are your kind of views on the world right now? Do you think people are more and more awakening? Do you feel that th- we’re still kind of, you know, far left of the middle when we’re having these conversations? Like, what do you see out there in, from your vantage point there in Germany?
Marysol:
Well, those are two things, Germany and then collectively worldwide. So I think worldwide there is a lot of awakening happening. I mean, like 15 years ago, you– I don’t think you had many spiritual podcasts, and now there are so many, so that shows that people also have, um, a need for these conversations, and they’re curious, and they’re waking up to something, um, beyond this 3D human life. So I do believe that with the shift that we’re moving through, there is a deep awakening happening. now Germany is not so easy, but I think all countries have their, right? And
Guy:
Oh yeah
Marysol:
I think to keep it short, think Germany has a lot of spirituality in its land, but a lot of it has been shut down. And Germans are very– and not all of them, but a lot of them are very closed off. They have a hard time expressing emotions. it’s a lot about functioning, working hard, quote unquote, making it. So, um, it’s not so easy in Germany, I find, with a lot of things. But there are those people that are awakening, and I do see a change and a shift, and it’s a gradual process, right?
So, um, yeah, I think that’s why the world is in so much upheaval because there’s such a shift going on within us individually and collectively, and like all the old stuff is coming in onto the surface, and it’s kinda like you put a spotlight on it. It’s not like it wasn’t there before. um, and these old systems are crumbling, and of course, there’s the powers that be that wanna on to that. And so of course you have all that friction, and that’s why we see so much chaos right now, I believe.
Guy:
Yeah, it’s fascinating. It’s, it’s just funny, you know, ’cause I got a dear friend that’s German, and he’s such a paradox because in one sense he’s like, “Oh, this is just spir- spiritual woo-woo,” right? “It’s all nonsense.” But he’s one of the most present spiritual people in, in his actions and the way he is. He’s deeply connected to nature. He’s incredible with bees. He’s, he loves going bird watching and, and can tune in from heart to heart. But at the same time, it’s like, “Nah, it’s all black and white. It’s all, you know, it is what it is.” And it’s, yeah, he, he makes me smile every time I have a conversation with him, ’cause he, he’s so certain, but at the same time connected. Like, he’s a, he’s a he’s a, he’s a fascinating one. I love it. I love it, you know?
Marysol:
Hmm
Guy:
Talk about somebody that speaks their authen- authentic truth, you know? It, it, it is. But, um, I’m, I’m just curious of the time, just aware of the time, but you mentioned before, and I thought we might as well, um, that you got a microphone to sing in.
Marysol:
do, yes.
Guy:
And, and, and, and I, I gotta tell you something as well, ’cause I, I thought this might happen and then you mentioned it, because I purposely haven’t listened to you sing.
Marysol:
okay. Wow.
Guy:
when you, when you, when, when we connected, I just knew instantly, I thought, “Oh, no, she, she, she’d be amazing on the podcast,” you know? And just, we just got on. So would you be happy to share just for a few minutes with us and-
Marysol:
And it’s a challenge for me ’cause as you know, for me it’s like 7:30 in the morning And singers hate singing in the morning. But, um, absolutely love to, and I just need to, um, s- choose my other microphone. Just a moment and I will do my very best. So, uh, microphone. Okay, can you hear me?
Guy:
I can. I can
Marysol:
can you just let me know if, if it’s co-connected correctly if you hear some reverb like this? Is there a
Guy:
That’s reverb now. Yeah. Yeah
Marysol:
microphone. Okay.
Guy:
Okay
Marysol:
So I’ll
Guy:
And then
Marysol:
Yeah,
Guy:
there anything we need to do? Just, just close our eyes, listen for everyone, unless they drive, driving of course. Don’t do that
Marysol:
keep your eyes open. Um, so yes, I’ll offer a short transmission and guide you into it, and I’ll do it just a cappella without any music. I often sing to
Guy:
Of course
Marysol:
it like this. Um, yes, so if you can, I invite you to close your eyes if you wish And just take a moment to drop into your heart field And allow yourself to be present with all that is. Allow yourself to be exactly as you are And so may this transmission serve your highest good. May it bring to you that which you need vibrationally in this moment. May you receive love, compassion, peace And anything else that you desire in this moment. So just breathe in the sound and allow yourself to receive. Take another few deep breaths. May the sound reach you exactly where it is meant to. May you be deeply blessed And so it is Then you can gently open your eyes.
Guy:
No, it was beautiful. Thank you so much. It was like I was in the room with you as soon as you drop in. Yeah, that was crystal clear. Wow.
Marysol:
Thank you.
Guy:
Wow.
Marysol:
singing, so the later afternoon singing
Guy:
You’re too modest. You’re too modest. That was beautiful. Truly was
Marysol:
We always, when we had like rehearsal early in the morning, everyone was like, “Oh, no.”
Guy:
Okay. Yeah.
Marysol:
Yeah, ’cause your up during the day and, yeah.
Guy:
Like a muscle. I know I, I’m, I’m, I move a bit slower in the mornings these days than I do in the afternoon. That’s for sure. Do you, do you do live events as well as online then? Are you doing that in Germany? Are you getting people in front of you and, and like gr- large groups of people?
Marysol:
Yeah, so I’ve been doing a lot online also with group offerings. So
Guy:
Mm-hmm
Marysol:
and the sound, and then if you wear headphones, you have, like, studio sound. Um, I did a few things in person. I did something in the Dolomites with another woman, so I sang in the mountains, and that is my dream to do more of that. So, um, I have to admit, I prefer doing all of this in English. Somehow the German language feels so harsh to me and unnatural. It’s weird. So, um, but I do wish to offer, retreats and in-person concerts, so I’m in touch with some people in the UK as well. So I’m sure that, that I’ll be able to build that up bit by bit. of course, um, it’s lovely if you work together with other musicians, so I’m building my network with that to come together and, and do these concerts. So I hope, um, yes, that, that that will happen in the, in the coming years.
Guy:
Yeah. Beautiful. Yeah, beautiful. That’s magical. And where, like, where can people connect with you online and if they want to experience more of your work, you know, have a session with you or more of your, your, your singing?
Marysol:
Yeah, so my website, Marisol, it’s like my first name, .vision. You find everything there, and I do have a YouTube channel with a lot of free offerings. So there’s music, sound healings and, um, guided meditations as well you can access for free. And as you said, I mention, uh, I offer one-on-one sessions, and the booking calendar is also on my website if you wanna just take some time, um, and dive in together. I do have a monthly sound healing journey for, for groups. So it’s kind of like a guided meditation, um, a cosmic journey.
It takes about an hour. So I guide you through that, and I sing live. And I have something coming up, um, in December on the, it’s the 5th and the 13th, so two Sundays, um, where I offer a contai- container to just come together in community and to be present, to receive, and I’ll offer some journeys and energy work, and I’ll sing for you. So, yeah, that’s… It’s called Soul Alignment, and, and
Guy:
Okay
Marysol:
offering it for those two Sundays. Um, you can also offer, um, order a personal sound healing recording, so I’ll tune into you and record something for you. And yeah, I have my music and meditations also on Insight Timer, so there are different platforms that you can also access a lot of stuff for free.
Guy:
Yeah. Beautiful. Yeah. Yeah. Easy, easy to find and plenty of offerings, and, and the work’s constantly expanding and evolving. I love it. Well, look, it- amazing, beautiful to connect. I re- I really enjoyed our conversation, Marysol. You’re just a beautiful, radiant being that’s doing amazing things, and, and I’ve, I’m excited to see where it, it takes you all moving forward as well. Yeah.
Marysol:
that. Yeah,
Guy:
No
Marysol:
it’s just wonderful speaking to you. I’ve seen many of your interviews, and it’s such a pleasure. Thank you
Guy:
No, you’re, you’re very welcome. You’re very welcome. Thank you so much, my lovely. Thank you
Marysol:
Thank you
